📣 I want to hear from you! |
Hey Reader, I can’t believe it but this Sunday is our last Sunday Session (unless I can find someone to sponsor it 😉), where I share lessons on how to make this your best year, yet. So far, we’ve covered: And now we’re closing with How to Transform Obstacles Into Opportunities. Maybe my favorite subject out of all of them 🙂 I’m going to walk you through the exact process I went through to weather my storms and then leverage them – or as I like to say, make money out of lemons. Because every single amazing thing in my life has come from every single challenge in my life. (Seriously, I was sued and then got a book deal because of it!) Here’s my conundrum though: I couldn’t have had my breakthroughs without my breakdowns, which made me wonder if suffering is an inevitable part of our self-growth… I don’t think it has to be, and I want to show you how. Simply put: You don’t have the luxury of wallowing. We got to feel our feels and then figure out a plan for how to make it work for us. Because that’s the question to continually come back to: How can I make this work for me? And how can I make that easy? Find out how on January 26th at 5p ET; it’s free to attend so click that button 👇 In this week’s newsletter:🛠️ Tools for a Better Work-Life: Get unstuck and unstressed. ✍️ Ask Claire: I address a subscriber who struggles with what (not) to prioritize. 🎧 Podcast: A live recording of our Sunday Session on How to Protect Your Energy, a framework for preventing burnout. 🗣️ Steal this Script: They ask for your salary expectations – here’s how to respond. |

Dear To-Do List Terrors, Learning what to prioritize – and what NOT to prioritize – is critical to success and most importantly, your sanity. Feeling like you can’t control your time, translates into not feeling in command of your life – and we don’t want that. Because you’re feeling (rightly) overwhelmed by your to-do list, the goal is to not have to look at it more than a few times a week. As someone with ADHD, I was constantly drowning in what I could or should be doing, so I created a system to identify a hierarchy of priorities that was realistic for my time and energy in a given week. (It’s called the To Done Tracker and it will change your life.) You can see my entire system here, but here’s a sneak peek of the exact steps I take every Sunday when I prepare for the week:
It might take you a minute to get comfortable selecting your seven actions for the day, but trust me, once you do, it’s SUCH a relief not to look at the all-encompassing, all-consuming to-list. To make it easy, take a screenshot of this framework 👇 and refer back to it every morning as you organize your day (or even better, do it the night before you can hit the ground running!)
Just remember YOU are in command of your time, even when it doesn’t always feel like it. |
In this recording of one of our Sunday Sessions, you will learn actionable steps to cultivate and sustain good energy, making ambition easier and ensuring success without self-sacrifice.

🔦 Job Seeker Spotlight 🔦 A CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Building a mission-based start-up from $0 through venture funding on to exit by acquisition, all while modeling civil discourse in a diverse community and how one could actually do business and do good. All while being my authentic self in public and private spaces. SOMETHING HARD I’VE DONE: A few years back I was brought on to help a good colleague spin off a techology her team had developed into its own scalable entity. Instead, once I got in there and looked under the hood, I helped identify that the technology was not in a place where it could serve that purpose and that in fact, the potential business model would be cannibalistic to her primary business, not symbiotic. Instead of a 2-3 endeavor to spin it out and, fundraise, and exit, it becomes a six-month exercise in due diligence and ultimately rolling it back into what the main business was doing. It was a fast fail, but we saved a tremendous amount of money and human resources in so doing. HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT ME: Connecting me to leaders, especially those who care about social impact, who could use a trusted advisor in their corner, in their ear, and in their business! |
