We’ve talked a lot about getting out in nature these past couple of months! In particular, we’ve explored ways to save on your National Parks outings — especially if you’re making an RV trip. As a reminder, here are some top tips:

I’m going to recommend you book sooner rather than earlier! First — full disclosure — if you book by March 14, 2025, it really helps this little site run by an independent business woman out.
Second, people are already booking their vacations en masse for the summer. The sooner you book, the larger of a selection you’re going to have. And usually, economics would tell us that the larger the selection, the lower the prices. So booking earlier has the potential to help you save even more cash.
Extra tips for RV camping savings
If you’re headed to a National Park, here are some extra savings tips outside of the sweet promo code savings:
- Class A vehicles sometimes have trouble meeting size restrictions in certain National Parks. Class C vehicles are a safer bet, and usually cheaper to boot.
- You might be able to find cheaper campgrounds just outside of the National Park, and some National Parks will provide you with a free shuttle into the park for your daytime adventures.
- If you don’t need hookups, dispersed camping insdie National Parks, on BLM grounds, or in National Forests is usually free.
- Some campsites — including a lot of KOA locations — will give you free or discounted camping in exchange for a little labor during your stay.
